about us

We met a few years ago at a work-sponsored Halloween party.  Jason, clad in leather pants and a strategically unbuttoned flannel, carried a case of beer around, while I was a corduroy shorts-wearing '70's skater.  We bonded over calling an ambulance for our friend Micah after he crashed on my bike!

Over the next few months, Jason travelled extensively, often only home for a couple of days.  I was working in the Patagonia store at the time, and in an attempt to make conversation, Jason would stop by and buy sweaters.  After a ridiculous international phone bill and a closet full of sweaters he didn't need, we decided to go for it.  

Since then, we've had the time of our lives surfing, learning kiteboarding, traveling, hanging out with friends near and far, playing Scrabble, and staying up late. 

We live in a tiny, cozy house near the river in Ventura, where Jason hangs out in his man shed and goes for river walks.  Our two ex-feral lion cats hang out with us in the backyard on the deck, where we spend most of our time when we're not kiteboarding!
